Services” mean NPO App’s subscription-based platform for nonprofit organizations, including but not limited to, program and activity management, event ticketing and payment processing, donations and payment processing, surveys and evaluations, contact management, client management, calendar, content repository, nonprofit campaigns, help desk and project and task management. Certain of these Services are available at no charge.

This Privacy Policy applies to all of your activities on our Website, use of Services and mobile applications.

NPO App takes reasonable security precautions to protect the personal information that we collect and you provide to us. We use up-to-date industry-accepted tools and technology protocols, including but not limited to, firewalls and encryption, to protect against the loss, misuse and unauthorized alteration of the information we collect. NPO App helps to protect your information by working with our service providers who provide a secure and safe environment for credit card donations, purchase of event tickets and merchandise. Please remember that the safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or you have chosen) a logon ID or password to access certain Services or areas of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this ID and/or password confidential. We ask that you not share such information with anyone or allow anyone to sign-in using your credentials.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to us. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we put in place for your protection.

NPO App collects two (2) types of information: personal information you submit to us voluntarily and information we collect automatically when you use our Website or Services.

We may also collect information such as your organization’s name, your title within the organization, industry type and 501(c)(3) status, and other business information about the organization. We may collect information from you when you use our Website, such as when you sign up for a NPO App account, when you use the Services, subscribe to our newsletters, register to attend a webinar, or make a donation.

When you submit payment information via the Website, you consent to providing your payment information to our service providers processing the payment to the extent required to provide our Services to you. When we collect payment information directly from you, we transmit this payment information directly to our service provider. For donations and event ticket and merchandise purchases and subscriptions for our Services, we store the last four digits of the card number and the expiration date.

Ways the Information May be Collected

This information may be provided to NPO App in any of the following ways:

NPO App also collects information from you automatically. Like most website administrators, we use log files that record information such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and page navigation. Our goal in gathering this information is to learn how our customers and the public are using our Services. IP addresses that are recorded by our log files are not linked to personal identifiers.

If you are a donor and/or purchase tickets for events and/or purchase merchandise through the use of the Services, the information that you provide is used only to complete your donation, ticket or merchandise purchase, provide you with a receipt and provide you with your donation history.

If you are a customer of NPO App or a potential customer of NPO App, you may choose to register to receive additional information or Services from NPO App. When you register, we request personal information about you such as your name, email address and/or telephone number, and we may ask for other information to enable us to provide a more relevant, personalized service to you. The information you provide may be stored in our databases. We endeavor to limit our requests for personal information to information we believe is minimally necessary to achieve our stated collection purposes. We may also supplement your profile information with publicly available data, such as zip codes and other demographic information.

Paid Subscription Account and Free Account

When you buy a subscription to NPO App and register to use the Services by submitting your contact information, you agree and consent that NPO App may send you communications relating to our Services and events or other business information.

Email Tools

NPO App allows nonprofits who pay for a subscription to our Services to use our email tools to contact their consumers for marketing, and information about donations and events, so you may receive emails from our system that originate with such nonprofits and that we send on their behalf. If you registered for an event or made a donation on the Service, your email address is available to that nonprofit. However, nonprofits may also import email addresses they have from external sources and send communications through the Service to those email addresses, and we will deliver those communications to those email addresses on the nonprofit’s behalf. You can opt-out of receiving certain types of promotional and marketing emails – but in such case you may not receive the full benefit of the Service. Opting-out can be done by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the emails. Nonprofits who use our Services are responsible for following all applicable laws and regulations around SPAM, and gaining your consent for emails utilizing email tools. Please contact the nonprofit directly to remove your contact information from any email lists utilized by Email Tools.

How We Share Your Information

Nonprofits

When you make a donation, purchase a ticket or merchandise from a nonprofit through the Services, your full contact information will be shared with that nonprofit.

Our Professional Advisers

We may disclose your information to our professional advisers, including accountants, lawyers, and other professional advisers that assist us in carrying out our business activities.

Legal Obligations

Though NPO App makes every effort to preserve donor and customer privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on our organization. We also may disclose your personal information to third parties if we have reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to conduct investigations of possible breaches of law, to cooperate in any legal investigation, or to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating any agreement with us including our Terms of Service.

NPO App is based in the United States of America. No Service for Minors

NPO App does not knowingly collect information from minors. NPO App periodically reviews and updates this Privacy Policy.
