Annual Review Process

Description

The Annual Review Process allows managers to effectively manage the process of annual reviews. The Annual Review Process is often sold in the HR Package with the Goal Definition Process and the Mid-Year Review Process, bundled as the Goal and Performance Process.

With the Goal and Performance Process bundle, employee goal definitions and reviews are stored electronically in a document repository. This allows for easy access to prior year's reviews for employee advancement, salary increases and for other human resources needs.

Use Cases
  • Kick off the Annual Review Process by selecting those employees who are going to participate. Each participating direct report receives a notice in their inbox for a self-assessment.
  • After receiving the task in their inbox for a self-assessment, the employee downloads the yearly goals definition document and completes the self-assessment section. When completed, the employee uploads the document, clicking Submit to send it to their supervisor for review.
  • The supervisor receives notice in their inbox that a direct report has submitted a self-assessment. The supervisor downloads the document, reviews the self-assessment and completes their annual review of the direct report. The supervisor thenclicks Submit to send the annual review to the Vice President.
  • Vice President receives notice in their inbox that a supervisor has submitted an annual review for an employee. The vice president downloads the document, reviews it approving it or rejecting it, then clicking Submit to send back to the supervisor for further action. If the Vice President approves the annual review, the vice president also rates the employee's overall performance before submitting it back to the supervisor.
  • If the annual review was approved by the Vice President, the supervisor receives notice in their inbox that they are to hold an employee meeting for a direct report, to review and discuss the annualreview. After the meeting, the supervisor clicks Submit to send the annual review document to the direct report.
  • The employee receives their annual review in their inbox. The employee must review the annual review and sign and date it. The employee also can download a copy for their files.
